I hope you are having a great month, and your traffic and earnings are getting bigger every day.
Today, I would like to talk a little bit about the relation between website traffic and the AdSense income.
The usual situation is; when you have higher traffic, it means you have higher earnings on AdSense. In general, this is a correct statement. However; – unfortunately – this is not the case all the time.
Let me give you an example; from my public experiment project.
If you are following my experiment, you know that the traffic to my site is increasing every month (except January – that I had some problems with my Pinterest accounts). We are not the end of the month yet, but the traffic is already passed the February level.
I would expect the same kind of graphic for my AdSense earnings. Since the traffic is already higher than last month, logically – I should be making more money already; right?
No; unfortunately this is not the case 🙁
Since the beginning of the month, I have noticed lower cpc and rpm values for my sites. I have waited a couple of days – no change.
First; I got in touch with AdSense support team to check if there is a problem with my AdSense account. They confirmed everything is fine. And they made some suggestions. Also, they said that – usually the beginning of the years are a little slower. Then late March – April, the earnings go back to normal levels.
I have waited until March 16th, and then I decided to change one of my ad type on my site: Right below banner, I use a ‘link ad’ type ad. For a long time, I was making good money with that kind of ad location – across all my niches.
I have removed that ad, and added ‘text only’ ad to the same location.
I will wait 4 more days, and then I will report the situation here. If the change is successful, I will apply the same to all my sites. If not, will try something else 🙂
IM business is dynamic. You need to keep an eye on all the parts of the system, all the time.
If not; one day you will see that you are not earning any money, or your sites lost all the rankings.
Keep checking everything, keep adjusting parts, keep testing new things and you will succeed.
Until the next update, have a great time guys…
